Careers in Road Haulage

The Road Haulage Association estimates there is a shortage of around 100,000 drivers in the UK, which is impacting all aspects of wider society – including gaps on supermarket shelves and Nando’s closing restaurants due to supply problems. HGV drivers have never been more important to the economy, and this demand has led to increased government support for the industry as well as pay rises.

The haulage industry experts at Haulage Exchange have produced a career guide to help inspire young people to consider a career in the industry by offering information on the benefits, career progression paths, and the skills & qualifications needed.

The full How to become a HGV driver guide can be found here: https://haulageexchange.co.uk/blog/how-to-become-a-hgv-driver/
